| One
of the most frequent questions we get is, "How can I participate
in Black Family Technology Awareness Week?" The
quick answer is that only your imagination and resources limit
you. Almost any activity that promotes technology is appropriate.
To get you started, here are just a few ideas.
Honor Black Technology in your community
Host a recognition activity in your local school or church
or in a gala environment.
Awards Ceremony
Meet at the Historically Black College University Engineering
Dean's Awards Breakfast or at the Black Engineer of the Year
Awards Ceremony. Help us celebrate the incredible accomplishments
of African American scientists and engineers, or engage your
local science or technology museum to highlight African Americans,
who have been pioneers in the field of technology, in their
facility and have your organization host a tour for families.
